Maria Chininis, EdS GMC Concussion Institute - Education Coordinator
Maria earned her BS in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, teaching elementary school for seven years in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. She attended Auburn University where she received her Master’s degree in Educational Administration before serving as an assistant principal in Gwinnett County Public Schools elementary and high schools for the past 24 years. Additionally, Maria earned her Specialist’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Georgia.
Maria is the Education Coordinator for The Concussion Institute, where she facilitates school accommodations for concussion patients. Her expertise working with school personnel and teachers is a valuable asset within The Concussion Institute, as it helps ensure a higher quality and better continuity of patient care in ongoing concussion management.
