Event Description:

Friday, March 10th from 8:30-12 join us for an in-depth hands on training on Adopt a Stream and Neighborhood Water Watch sampling techniques. Participants will conduct Dissolved Oxygen, pH, temperature, conductivity tests, visual stream surveys and macro- invertebrate surveys. We will discuss the tools needed to identify local fish and wildlife. Participants will learn about Neighborhood Water Watch and how to become involved in organizations like Chattahoochee River Keepers, Adopt a Stream, and the importance of becoming a water steward in their community.  All participants are invited to bring a sack lunch for a picnic from noon-1; event hosts will join and be available to answer questions, network, and chat.

This training is open to participants 8 years old and up. However, participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult registrant. This event is free for Autrey Mill Members or $5 for all other participants.
