Fulton County Superintendent - Dr. Jeff Rose

Dr. Jeff Rose joined Fulton County Schools as its Superintendent of Schools in June 2016. As Superintendent, he is responsible for the leadership, administration and management of approximately 96,000 students, 101 schools, 10,500+ employees, and a $952 million general fund budget. Prior to joining Fulton County Schools, Dr. Rose served for five years as superintendent of Beaverton School District, Oregon's third largest school system located near Portland. During his 21 years in education, Dr. Rose has served as an educational assistant, classroom teacher (taught 4th/5th grades), principal, director of school improvement and the superintendent of schools in Canby School District, also in Oregon. He earned his Doctorate and Master of Education degrees from Lewis and Clark College and holds an undergraduate degree in education from Long Beach State.

Dr. Rose is an instructional leader who believes every student deserves a quality education that prepares him or her for college and/or career. He has built a reputation for establishing focused, collaborative and transparent organizations of learning. He has a proven track record of innovation and an unrelenting focus on student achievement. Jeff has led Beaverton School District through the most difficult financial times in the district's history, helping to focus school and community efforts as an organization. 




Fulton County School Board President - Linda McCain
Linda McCain represents the Johns Creek and Alpharetta areas. She currently serves as School Board President.McCain was first elected to the school board in 2010 and in May 2014 was reelected to her second four-year term. Before serving on the school board, she advocated for children and public education for more than 12 years as a member of local school advisory councils and PTAs in her children's schools. 

During her time on the school board, McCain has promoted the efficient and conservative use of taxpayer dollars and the increased accountability of school system stakeholders. She was a member of the board of directors of the Fulton County Schools Employees' Pension Fund and is a current board member of the Fulton Education Foundation. In December 2014, she was appointed to serve on Governor Nathan Deal's Education Advisory Board.


Fulton County Career Tech Director - Yalanda Bell
A life-long Career and Technical Education (CTE) educator, Yalanda began her career at Peachtree High School in Gwinnett County as a Marketing Teacher, Work-Based Learning Advisor, and DECA Advisor. During her teaching experience, she won the Georgia Marketing Education Teacher of the Year, and was a top 3 finalist at her school for Teacher of the Year. Yalanda’s marketing program at Peachtree Ridge went on to become industry certified by the American Marketing Association. Her experience as Program Specialist for the Marketing Career Pathway was instrumental in developing curriculum and lesson plans for the Georgia Department of Education.
Yalanda started to expand her skills in education beyond the classroom. She was promoted to the Gwinnett County School Board of the Education as the Career and Technical Education Coordinator. During this time, she worked with high school curriculum across all 17 Georgia Career Clusters and supervised Career and Technical Student Organizations. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association of Career and Technical Education for 6 years.
Yalanda is currently the Executive Director of Career and Technical Education for Fulton County Schools where she manages the curriculum and instruction for over 200 teachers and 60,000 students. Georgia Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently named her Administrator of the Year due to the fact that Fulton County Schools has the largest number of FBLA students in Georgia.  Yalanda believes that the key to education is training our students to be college and career ready while giving them the tools needed to be productive citizens.
