DecisionPoint Wellness, Alpharetta Lifestyle, and WellStar have teamed up to bring us the First Annual Alpharetta /Johns Creek Community Health Day to take place on Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 am. This event will be held in the parking lot of the Johns Creek Center for Art & Design and home to DecisionPoint.  This fun first annual event is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle as just one solution to end the addiction epidemic in our community. September is National Recovery Month, and to help in bringing awareness to the hope of addiction recovery, we will have vendors, food trucks, music, fun kids activities, prizes and a silent auction and autograph signings and appearances from Atlanta Falcon’s Cheerleaders, Gwinnett Braves, just to name a few! The proceeds raised through raffle prizes (silent auction) and food sales will go to local charity, Bert’s Big Adventure, which provides terminally ill kids and their families a Disney vacation of a lifetime. Bert’s Big Adventure is a local non-profit organization that was started by Atlanta radio personality on 99.7, Bert Weiss. The joy this annual trip brings to these families is insurmountable and the kids and their families get to feel “normal” for a week and not focus on their medical conditions.
