Name: Center For Puppetry Arts Comes To Johns Creek Arts Center
Date: September 27, 2014
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM EDT
Event Description:

Where can you find a Deinosuchus that practically pirouettes on its tail and a T-Rex that bounds gracefully through the air? Between the pages of Tony Mitton's Dinosaurumpus, where dinosaurs run, boom, shake, and shudder their way to the "sludgy old swamp" and rock the night away. Mitton's delightful rhyme and Parker-Rees's whimsical illustrations will make children want to join in the dance while they learn about some of their favorite prehistoric pals. By the time the romp is over and the dinosaurs are fast asleep, kids won't be able to shake that jumping, thumping Dinosaurumpus beat! While you will attend the event with your child, only register your children, parents are free.

Preschool Puppetry Workshops are offered as a wonderful parent and child experience for ages three to seven. This workshop enhances motor skills, increases language and social skills, and develops self-confidence.  This event features reading activities, songs, fingerplays and puppet-making.  Celebrate creativity and the arts in developmentally-appropriate ways with this high-energy, engaging experience that supports early childhood literacy by bringing to life Dinosaurumpus.
