Ed Densmore, Chief of Police

A Michigan native, Densmore was appointed Police Chief with the launch of the JCPD in 2008.
Prior to that, he served as Alpharetta's Police Chief, having been on that city's force since 1996, rising through the ranks.
He began his law enforcement career in 1992 on patrol with the Decatur Georgia Police Department.
Densmore holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, and is a graduate of the
Command College at Columbus State University and the FBI National Academy.
