A Beacon of Hope Pregnancy Center is pleased to announce that former Presidential Candidate and Senator Rick Santorum will be the guest speaker for their upcoming annual fundraising gala Beautiful! on March 2, 2013. The gala will be held from 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Marriott located at 5750 Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, GA.
A Beacon of Hope is a non-profit, faith-based 501(c)(3) charitable community organization with a target in Fulton and DeKalb counties. Their mission is saving the lives of the unborn and promoting healthy relationships while leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Affiliation with NIFLA (National Institute of Family and Life Advocates) and Care Net provides A Beacon of Hope with legal and ethical accountability as well as credibility as a pregnancy and relationship resource center that operates under the certified “Commitment of Care.”
Rick Santorum is known as a voice for the voiceless. His grassroots approach to campaigning catapulted him to frontrunner status during the Republican primary process in 2012. Rick speaks passionately about his belief that strong families help produce a strong economy. He believes we must expand opportunities for all Americans by encouraging incentives for marriage, children, and free enterprise. Rick and his wife of 22 years, Karen, are the parents of seven wonderful children. Rick’s youngest daughter, Isabella, was born with a condition called Trisomy 18, and wasn’t expected to survive her first birthday. This type of condition, when diagnosed during pregnancy, often leads to a recommendation for abortion. Beating all the odds, Bella celebrated her 4th birthday in May of 2012 and is a joyful and loving little girl. Bella’s miraculous life has only strengthened Rick and Karen’s belief in the dignity of each and every life.
A Beacon of Hope Executive Director, Talli Moellering says, “I’m always searching for a well-known speaker that has a heart for our mission and will energetically share their perspective in reference to the value of our services within the community. In 2012 our centers provided compassionate care and medically accurate truth over 2,600 times as we interacted with our patients. The free services that both centers provide for individuals dealing with an unplanned pregnancy or are post abortive are priceless. We’re thankful that Rick Santorum is willing to partner with us and share his personal story as we continue to grow and serve more patients.”
Funds raised during the gala will be used to help A Beacon of Hope continue to build an environment that educates the men and women they serve, ultimately providing them with a safe place that empowers them to catch their breath and process through their choices.
