The Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic, inspirational and experienced leader to serve as its President & CEO. This important role will ensure the future vitality, development, impact and relevance of the organization. This individual will be responsible for driving the Chamber's mission to be a catalyst for business growth and community development in Johns Creek, fostering an environment where innovation thrives, entrepreneurs flourish, and businesses prosper. - Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with the Chamber's vision and goals.
- Oversee the Chamber's operational framework and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Align with the strategic objectives of the City of Johns Creek.
- Align with and partner with other adjacent Chambers.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance member benefits and community impact.
- Provide actionable and informed input to the Board of Directors, chamber staff and Council members in achieving strategic objectives.
- Attract and maintain a highly competitive staff. Support and develop staff.
- Advocacy & Public Policy:
- Champion policies that promote business innovation, economic development, and international partnerships.
- Represent the Chamber's interests before government officials and regulatory agencies.
- Be the primary public spokesperson for the Chamber and advocate for issues that affect the Chamber and its members.
- Advocate for a business-friendly environment in Johns Creek and the surrounding region.
- Membership Growth & Engagement:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain a diverse membership base.
- Ensure a high level of member satisfaction through exceptional service and value-added programs.
- Oversee membership recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.
- Establish surveys, metrics for the above and monitor progress.
- Marketing & Communications:
- Work with the Marketing Director to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to build brand awareness and enhance the Chamber's image.
- Oversee the management of the Chamber's website and social media presence for effective communication with members and the community.
- Oversee the development of marketing materials and content that promotes Chamber initiatives and member benefits.
- Fundraising & Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute a diversified revenue generation plan to support the Chamber's financial sustainability.
- Secure sponsorships, grants, and other forms of funding for Chamber programs and initiatives.
- Oversee the Chamber's budget and ensure sound financial management practices.
- Ensure timely reporting and accuracy of financial reports.
- Community Development:
- Foster collaboration between businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to address local needs.
- Promote Johns Creek as a desirable location for businesses to invest and grow.
- Champion initiatives that contribute to the overall well-being of the local business community.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic plans that achieve organizational goals.
- Strong advocacy and government relations experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business development principles and marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated revenue generation experience.
- Passion for community development and economic growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Preferred Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a chamber of commerce, non-profit organization, or similar setting.
